Sultana
Projects, an educational non-profit based in
Chestertown, MD, offers unique opportunities to learn about the rich
history,
culture and environment of the Bay.
Each year more than 15,000 students of all ages take part
in Sultana’s
programs. Whether
sailing aboard the
1758 reproduction schooner Sultana, the “Schoolship of the
Chesapeake” or
exploring the Bay’s waterways in a canoe or kayak with John
Smith Expeditions,
students have an opportunity to
learn first-hand about the natural treasure that is the Chesapeake
Bay.
An individual contribution, or one from the whole crew, will go to support Sultana’s award-winning programs.
As a way of saying thank you, Sultana Projects is offering any individual contributing $100 or more to be their guest for a sail aboard Sultana for an Evening sail on September 12.
Your contribution of $100 or more also entitles you to the following membership premiums;
A
contribution of $100: You
and your Mate will become a Midshipman
and
member of the SHIPMATES, entitling
you to a discount for four people on a two-hour public sail aboard the
97-foot
schooner Sultana. You
will also receive
the newsletter, Shipmates, and
invitations to member-only events.
Your
tax-deductible contribution will be acknowledged with a thank you
letter.
A
contribution of $500: You and your
Mate will receive a gift membership at the level of Lieutenant, giving you a
discount for up to six
people on a two-hour sail on Sultana, plus the benefits listed above.

A
contribution of $1000: You and your mate will be
invited to join the Captain’s
Table, a very
special group of Sultana supporters. You will receive invitations to
exclusive
Captain Table’s events, plus you may sail on any of the
Sultana’s public sails
at no charge for one year.
Individual
contributors of $500 or
more will be invited to sail on Sultana
during Downrigging Weekend
during the parade of
tall ships on the Chester River on either Saturday, Nov. 1 or Sunday,
Nov.
2. You will receive
an invitation to be
our guest at a special Sultana Shipyard dinner with crews’ of
the visiting tall
ships and historic vessels.
